NEPAL

About Nepal Nepal is a small Himalayan kingdom blessed with an amazing diversity that makes it one of the most exciting destinations for trekking enthusiasts. A narrow, rectangular country wedged between the Indian subcontinent and the Tibetan plateau of China, it is only about a hundred miles wide and 500 miles long. Yet within Nepal lie 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world, bestowing it with awe-inspiring vistas all along its northern border. Swift rivers rush down from the snow-capped peaks, flowing through the hills and medieval towns and valleys before meandering slowly into the steamy jungles of the Terai which border India, with their abundant wildlife. Within less than 100 miles, altitudes change from sea-level in the south to the world’s highest mountain range, the Great Himalaya, including Mt. Everest, in the north. Not surprisingly Nepal contains a breathtaking bio-diversity mirrored by its exotic animals, birds, plants and numerous ethnic peoples whose rich cultural heritage and religions present an exquisite tapestry. Trekking is one of the best ways to experience the spectacular natural beauty and rich heritage of Nepal. With only a handful of roads, the country is ideally explored on foot - along ancient trade routes and trails that link villages and towns and provide a most rewarding way to gain insight into the ancient cultures and untamed landscapes of this magical land. With decades of travelling and guiding experience in the mountains of Nepal, Mountain Experience has unrivalled expertise in organizing trekking and mountaineering holidays. We offer treks and climbing trips to the major popular trekking areas as well as to places off the beaten track and to the remoter parts of Nepal.

The Kathmandu valley is the hub of Nepal for its political, commercial and cultural activities, and is the first stop for the majority of visitors to the country. Once a separate kingdom in itself, it consists of three cities of great history. Each one exceeds in graceful temples, elegant palaces, brick-paved courtyards and quaint streets. History begins with the Buddhist saint Manjushree who slashed a passage through the surrounding hills to drain out primordial water and to make the region. Over the centuries, a refined urban civilization emerged, built on a unique synthesis of Hinduism and Buddhism.Dynasties came and went, trade and the arts flourished. The deeply religious Newar inhabitants built fabulous cities and artistic temples that attracted devout pilgrims as well as ramping invaders. In the late 18th century, following the founding of modern Nepal, Kathmandu was made the capital within more or less the present boundaries. It is said that Kathmandu was named after Kastamandap, an imposing pagoda next to Hanumandhoka palace. The city have been its present form by Gunakama Dev in 724 AD. Following are the major tourist attractions in the Kathmandu Valley.

OVERVIEW
There are lots of places to visit in Nepal. That is why people often term Nepal as "a place where there are more temples than houses". Similarly because of Gods and Goddesses we term it as a place where the number of gods and goddess is more than the population of people.
Inside the Kathmandu Valley, there are lots of sight seeing. For example, you can go to the Krishna Mandiror Patan which was build of one tree, Pashupati nath of the capital and several other temples, historical places and monuments.
However, one of the most amazing thing of the Kathmandu Valley is the excellent view of the valley from all the hilltops!
Similarly when one goes outside of the valley, he or she can see countless natural beauties never explored. Tourists stare with amazements of the gift of God to the Himalayan Kingdom. Nepal is a must visit place.
